Linking Your Domain Name and Web Host
Okay we signed up for the two types of accounts that were going to need. So now were ready to link those two accounts together. Your web hosting company will send you an email that will have all this information that you’ll need. Find that email and look for the nameserver info. Normally this is “ns1.yourwebhost.com”.
Now when you sign into Hover.com or your domain service, you can simply change the name servers to your web hosting company’s servers.
That’s pretty much it. You just told your domain name service to direct all the traffic that goes to your website name to your web host where your files will live. Anytime someone searches for your website or directly types your website name into their web browser they will be sent to your web host and your website will come up. In the next section we’ll set up WordPress, if it isn’t already set up for you.
