Aloha International Mission Hawaii is a non-profit organization with a big heart. The specialize in overseas missions to third world countries where they assist the local communities, governments, and economies. Their specialty is medical missions.
On one of their recent mission excursions, they assisted in digging a well for a village. We take clean running water for granted, but as they experienced first hand, even access to a working well and availability of water is an amazing blessing.
Stagnant and Sinking
While the AIM team is filled with professionals from various medical and business fields, AIM had an aging website which had some elements that looked forced together and not very professional.
On top of that, the software used to build the website was difficult to update. And to compound that difficulty, their web designer who did updates for them was slow in responding. This combination always leads to a stagnant website because even if they wanted to make some updates, things would take too long so it created a “why bother” attitude.
Professional Graphic Design Yeilds Professional Results!
So they met with me to see if we could redesign their website. A team of professionals deserves a professional, well designed website. One of the biggest benefits of their organization is that they have an in house graphic designer on their board of directors. And coming up with the overall design and details of the site was exteremly easy as I worked with an amazing designer. Similarly, their logo and branding was well done and incredibly easy to integrate in the design process.
After just one brief training session, the ladies who are taking the lead publishing articles on the website experienced how simple and easy it is to add photos and YouTube videos to the website.
Long Term Success
Aloha International Mission has become one of my long-term clients. I continue to consult with them monthly and assist in their content creation and publishing efforts. We have also planned quarterly face to face meetings for on going training, basic social media assistance, and editorial scheduling.
Their website continues to shine and I am impressed by the number of articles they continue to publish each month.
